Wedding Quilt
I finally finished a signature quilt for my son and his wife and gave it to them so they would have it for their anniversary at the end of the month.
It's a beautiful memory of their wedding day. Each person at the wedding reception was asked to make a square for the bride and groom. Some guests signed their names, others wrote heartfelt sentiments and some very creative guests drew pictures to go with their well wishes. The sashings on the quilt are made from all of the different purple fabrics we had used to make covers for the popcorn jars made for the wedding reception. The cornerstones are made from the same fabric as the signature squares. I used my embroidery machine to create a block for the top of the quilt to display their names and wedding date.
I am very happy to be feeling better and to be getting some of my projects completed. I still have a pretty long to-do list but I am whittling away at it one project at a time! It feels good to be in my studio working and playing with my fabric.
On to the next project.
Happy Quilting,
Laurel
