Signature Quilt in a Hurry

I think things happen for a reason.  I had the opportunity to go to the spa (ahhhhhhh) with a friend this week.  While there, I found out that the massage therapist is getting married this weekend!

I decided to mention the idea of a signature quilt and she loved it.  At first I was hesitant to even mention the quilt idea because it is such short notice but I knew it would be too late to talk about it at any other time.  I'm glad I spoke to her about it because she is very excited.

Tonight I put together a little signature quilt kit that she will have set up on a table at the reception hall.  I included my framed directions (so her guests will know what to do and leave a seam allowance), pre-cut 6½" fabric squares, several fabric pens, and a few pieces of oatmeal paper (to place the fabric square on so it doesn't slip while writing).  We are actually going to discuss the other fabrics for the sashing, border and backing after the wedding!!!  She is coming tomorrow to pick up the kit so her guests can complete their squares at the reception.

I am anxious to get the squares back and start designing her quilt.

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
