School's Out
School's out, school's out, teacher let the monkeys out........
What a week!!! Field Day on Monday.....half-day with students then meetings on Tuesday.....meetings, planning for next year and record keeping on Wednesday.....cleaning, packing up my classroom and filling out permanent records on Thursday (today!).....and yes, finally, quilting on Friday!!!
I do love my job. I enjoy working with my students, but, I love summer break! I like having more time to quilt and spend with my grandson. Anyone that knows anything about education can appreciate the fact that summer break is good for many reasons. Summer break gives us a chance to work on new materials for the next year and since we will be using a new curriculum for reading, spelling, phonics, and English.....the time will come in handy.
Of course, the best, best, best part is having more time to quilt!!! I do know that I have more on my quilting to-do list than I will be able to accomplish but I will have fun trying!!! I want to catch up on quilting for clients and complete some of the WIP (works in progress) that I have in various stages of completion.
I will get a good night's sleep and dream of quilting. I will not set my alarm clock. I will wake and quilt, quilt, quilt.
Happy Quilting,
Laurel
