Robbing Peter to Pay Paul
Robbing Peter to Pay Paul is one of the all time classic quilt patterns.
This one is a scrappy version. All of the white pieces are made from one tone-on-tone print while all of the other pieces are made from a variety of fabric scraps. Many of the scraps used for this quilt are from the State Flowers collection and were left over from another project.
The quilt maker managed to arrange the pieces in this quilt with a beautiful balance of color throughout the top.
She brought this quilt to me and I quilted it in an all-over pattern of dancing dragonflies. The dragonflies look like their having fun playing in the field of flowers!!! She will, of course, add the binding as the finishing touch.
Thank you, Delores, for sharing this beautiful quilt with us.
Happy Quilting,
Laurel
