Quilting and Social Distancing
I recently had the pleasure of quilting this beautiful quilt for one of my talented clients.
Everything we do during this epidemic seems to be more challenging...that includes the simple task of dropping off/picking up quilter's masterpieces.
A couple of months ago I implemented no contact drop off and pick up to help quilters be more comfortable with this process. Quilters call to let me know they are coming to drop off their quilt, they leave their quilt (in a bag or box) on a bench on my front porch, I retrieve the quilt, then we have a phone consultation about the work to be done. When the quilt is finished and ready to be picked up we work the system in reverse.
Of course, as always, quilters are welcome to mail their quilts to me via USPS, UPS, or FedEx and I will return the finished quilt using the same service. This has always worked well with my long distance customers and is now working great with quilters who do not want to deliver in person.
I have also stocked a supply of various batting and backing materials to make things easier since shopping for these supplies can be difficult during shut downs and stay at home orders.
Let me know if I can help with any of your quilting needs.
Remember...It's not a quilt until it's quilted!
Happy quilting,
Laurel
