Quilter's Fabrics

I had a chance to look at the May 2011 issue of the Connecting Threads Catalog today.  They were featuring three new fabric collections.

You might know that I have a soft spot for quilt/sewing themed fabric (OK, OK, I have a soft spot for fabric period) and one of the new collections is a group of prints in primary colors.  This collection was designed especially for quilters!!!  One of the prints contains quilty words and blocks and is shown in three different colors.  The next print is shown in two different colors and contains quilting tools and notions including spools of thread, rotary cutters, measuring tapes, bobbins, safety pins, straight pins, scissors, thimbles, seam rippers and pin cushions.  There is even a tonal gridded ruler print  that comes in four different colors! This great collection also contains fifteen (yes.......15) coordinating basic fabrics.  The catalog also shows several ideas (and has the patterns for them available) for using these fabrics.

I really like this collection and can't wait to order some so I can see it in person.  These fabrics will look terrific in my studio.  I think they'll make great looking curtains too!!!  Let me know what you think.

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
