Over Fifty

I'm sorry you haven't heard from me for almost a week.  I certainly did not intend be away for that long.  This week was hectic as we ended our second quarter/first semester of the school year.  Of course that means administering tests, writing reports and preparing report cards.  As if that wasn't enough, my doctor ordered some of those tests that are recommended for people over fifty.

This week was my turn for a colonoscopy.  Oh joy!  It all sounded so easy.  It's not that it was all that bad.....but it did cut into my quilting time!  During the prep, I suggest getting comfortable with a good book.  (I chose one of the Jennifer Chiaverini books)  The second day was the actual proceedure which was not bad at all.  They put me out and I don't remember a thing.  The only problem is that I was soooo exausted that I went home and slept the rest of the entire day, again.....no quilting---and no blogging!!!  The third day, I slept late (yes, after sleeping most of the second day!), had something to eat and by the afternoon was able to get a little bit of sewing done.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow.  I plan on spending the better part of the day in my studio.  I'm going to have my own little "sew fest" to celebrate things being back to normal.

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
