Magic Washers

These are amazing!!!!

First, let me confess, I am " one of those people ".  I am one of those people who likes tools, gadgets, notions and accessories.  I'll try almost anything and, yes,  have even been disappointed by a few of the gimmicks that I've purchased.

These little things are definitely NOT a disappointment. These are Magic Bobbin Washers.  They come in two different sizes. Little Genie Magic Bobbin Washers fit standard sewing machines while the Mega Genie Magic Bobbin Washers fit long-arm machines.  I ordered a package of each size to try in my machines and plan on using them from now until forever!!!

The Genie Magic Bobbin Washers are slippery Teflon washers that go in your bobbin case when you are doing any free-motion quilting, thread painting or embroidering.  You simply place one of these in the bobbin case before putting the bobbin in the bobbin case.   Using one of these washers virtually eliminates back-lashing and bird's nests (the loops and/or globs of thread that can form on the back of the quilt).

I have to admit that I ordered these washers to prove them wrong!!!  I had heard about them from some other quilters and did not believe that they could actually make a difference, at least not a significant difference, in free motion quilting.   I was the one proven wrong.  They are worth every penny!!  I ordered mine through Keepsake Quilting and tried them out as soon as my order arrived at my house.  I could not believe the immediate improvement in the way the thread lays along the stitching lines and the ease of control at the corners.  I hope you have a chance to try them.
