Ironing Spray

Are you looking for an ironing spray to use while you are pressing your quilting fabrics, pieces or blocks?  Here is a spray you can make yourself!!  I have heard good things about this recipe and how it gives body to your quilt pieces.  You can use any essential oil you choose for your own custom scent.

Mix ¼c Vodka (it can be a cheap one!) with 2c distilled water and 8-10 drops of essential oil.

You are supposed to be able to put this in your iron but most are putting it in a spray bottle and spritzing the fabric before pressing.

I can't wait to mix up a batch and try it out.  I'm always looking for something to remove the wrinkles and not aggravate my allergies!!!  In fact,  I think I will pick up several inexpensive spray bottles and mix a few batches using a variety of essential oils so I can find the one that works best for me.  I love experiments!!!!!  I'll let you know what I discover in the process.

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
