Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day.  Whether you are a mother, have a mother, give or take motherly advice or remember the wonderful things your mother did for you.....I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!  I also hope you were able to take some time for yourself to do some quilting.

I had a very good day.  My husband let me sleep late, very late.  After I got up, showered and dressed we went out for a late breakfast.  When we got home he did some things I put on his "honey do list" while I made a fresh pot of coffee and went to my studio to play.

My Accuquilt machine is a fantastic time-saving tool.  I was able to cut all of the pieces for a queen size quilt in under an hour!!! It always amazes me how precise the pieces are cut and how quickly the job is done.

Sewing

I'm not used to working with so much pink at once.   I felt like I was in a sea of cotton candy as I was sewing all of the pink strips together!  Over 30 different pinks are being used and are going together beautifully.  Of course I'll share more as I go.

My daughter called during the day and I was able to visit, over the phone, with her and my grandson for a while.  After dinner, my son and his girlfriend stopped by to visit and brought a lovely gift. We had a nice visit.  I always enjoy when company comes whether it is family or friends, planned or impromptu.

It was such a good day that I didn't even let fighting with a clogged drain in the bathtub bother me!!!

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
