Good Busy
This has been a very busy week. It has been what I call "good busy", when you are very busy but with all good things!
We were able to have our grandson visit us while our daughter attended a conference. Although he keeps us hoppin', we always enjoy any time he spends with us. I got to have some fun in my studio too! I quilted two quilts for a friend in WA, a wallhanging to be presented at a special occasion and I had the great honor of quilting a newbie's (a new quilter) first quilt.
Since everyone around me has been encouraging me to lower my stress level and do something for myself, I also decided to begin a project that can be ongoing. I pulled out a container of scraps and began making some six inch scrappy crazy squares. I figure I can make one or two at the end of each day to help me wind down. They are also good to work on when I don't have the time or energy to work on a large or complicated project. Eventually, I will have enough of them to assemble an entire quilt. I will be repurposing scraps and keeping them out of the landfill at the same time. This will also help my peace of mind because I can't stand to waste anything!!!
We are supposed to have a winter storm tonight....dare I hope for a Snow Day tomorrow? I would cherish the extra hours to play with fabric!
Happy Quilting,
Laurel
