Garage Sale Quilt

A friend of mine found this wonderful quilt at a garage sale! And gave it to me!!!

Quilt

This is an awesome old quilt.  The colors are a bit faded as it probably was hung out in the sun to dry after being laundered.    There are only two small holes and they are only in the top layer.  The triangle pieces are all made from a light, teal-green floral print and seem to make a star around the hexagons.

The quilt is twin sized and seems to be pieced and quilted entirely by hand.

I am lucky to be the recipient of this quilt.  There are many options available for this quilt.  I can leave it as is, repair the holes in the quilt top,  get rid of the pieces with the holes and make it into a smaller quilt (lap size, throw or baby quilt),  use it to make a couple of pillows or even cut it up and make a jacket from it.

For now, I'm just going to look at it and enjoy its company while I wonder where it has been and what stories it could tell!

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
