Cute Chicks

I got a phone call from a friend today.  He needed some help with a little dilemma.  My friend is going to have knee surgery next week and is having a bit of trouble getting around because of the pain.  I went over there for a while, visited, took the dog out for a little bit and ..... my favorite..... got to go through his new fabric purchases and new patterns.  I even love other people's fabric stashes!!!

My friend bought two yards of these cute chicks for me! I love them.  This is part of the Farm collection by Timeless Treasures Fabrics, Inc.

When my husband and I build our new house, I plan for my kitchen to be decorated with roosters and chickens.  These cute chicks are the perfect addition to the things I have been collecting for my cozy new kitchen.  If you look closely, you'll see them hugging some of their eggs and newly hatched chicks.   Absolutely adorable!

This piece will make a great border for a table topper and the perfect valance for a kitchen window.  I bet, if I'm careful, I can also make a couple of potholders and an oven mitt.
