Like so many others, I took a little break from working on quilts to make some masks for the cause.
I have always known quilters to be kind, caring, resourceful and eager to help in anyway they can, in every situation they encounter. It should not have surprised me when quilters all over the world began to dig into their fabric stashes, unlock their supplies, fire-up their sewing machines and begin to manufacture much needed face masks. It did surprise me at the extraordinary rate and volume it has occurred .
Thank you to every quilter, seamstress and sewer that has helped.
I am proud to be a quilter. I am happy to be part of such a remarkable group of people.
Stay safe and healthy.
