Cat Lover's Quilt

I am more of a dog person than a cat person but when I found this treasure in the items I got from the storage unit I couldn't resist its cuteness! It is adorable.

This WIP (work in progress) was found all together in a box.  The pattern, fabric, cut pieces and many finished blocks were neatly stored.  I will complete this cute little quilt and it will bring much happiness to some cat-lover in my life.

The original quilter fussy cut (carefully cut the fabric so an image is centered in the piece) this beautiful black and white fabric to keep the kitty faces intact.  She then used the kitty faces as the center squares for her log cabin blocks.  The little kitties seem to be looking right at you.  They have very realistic little faces.

I'm not sure who this quilter was but I think things happen for a reason and I feel compelled to finish this project for her.  Maybe, somehow these iitems made their way to me so they could be finished, used and loved.
