Back to School

This was our first week back to school after summer break.  I was a little worried about going back since I have been out of school since the first week of February due to my surgeries and recovery.  It didn't take long to get back in the swing of things.  It felt very good to be able to go back.  I love being in my classroom with my children and think this is going to be a very good year.  I still have some work to do on my room but I am happy to have made it through the entire week.  I look forward to seeing my students and fellow teachers again on Tuesday.

I must say that I am also very happy that Monday is a holiday!  I  will be happy that next week is a four day week instead of five but I am even happier that my housework is finished and I will be able to play in my studio for the better part of the day tomorrow.  I get tired more easily than I used to and am trying to ease back in to working on my longarm machine.  I appreciate having an extra day to work on what I love to do.  Tomorrow, I hope to get my machine cleaned thoroughly, lubricated and begin a new project.

I hope you enjoy your Labor Day holiday and get to spend some time doing what you love to do......I'll be playing with fabric!

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
