A Little Bit of Everything

It seems like a long time since I've told you what I've been up to.  I had some technical difficulty beyond my control!  I was having some computer trouble and my daughter was out of town. I'll make it up to you!!!  It amazes me how quickly she fixes things and I often don't even understand why they happen.

I have had a busy, crazy, wonderful weekend.  --- Friday I continued to sort through my treasures from the storage unit find and had to move it out of the guest room where I had been sorting because my grandson was coming to stay while his mom was out of town on business.  --- Saturday included laundry, cleaning and making dishes to bring to a wonderful barn party/cookout we were invited to attend.  The weather was perfect, the food was great and the party was fun.  When we got home my grandson was sleeping snug in his bed and my daughter made tea and we talked.  --- Sunday was a family day with shopping, quilting, playing outside and watching a movie.  I love the part where I am working on my longarm machine and my grandson is downstairs with me playing with his trains or some other toys.  --- Monday was a day off of school in celebration of Columbus Day and when I was putting some things away, I came across this quilter's pin that had belonged to my friend Jane.  This little momento reminds me of how much we enjoyed quilting together. --- Today, I took a personal day off so I could spend the day with my grandson.  It was an institute day so I did not miss classes with the students.  We had a fun day together and I even got some more quilting done!!

Tomorrow it's back to school for me.  Boy, I could really get used to having a four-day weekend.....why can't they all be like that?

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
