Almost There

For me, the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the most hectic time of the year.  Sooo much needs to be done and there just isn't enough time to do everything.

After Holiday programs, class parties, staff parties, professional development meetings, creating many projects, shopping, wrapping and delivering......Christmas Break is finally here. My students are all very excited and I love seeing life through the eyes of children.  We had a great day today.  I received some nice gifts and they were all appreciative of the gifts I gave to them.  As much as I am grateful for the break, I will miss them.

This excitement has not left much time for my quilting! I have worked on quilting for other people when I have been able to catch a few moments and am looking forward to having time to begin my next project.

I am usually a last minute shopper but tonight I am actually further along than in years past.  I have a few little things to pick up tomorrow but other than that, I'm done. I will not be frantically running around the two days before Christmas, trying to finish.

Now I can concentrate on cooking, baking, relaxing and best of all.....spending time with my family.  I am happy that we will all be celebrating together and excited that it will be our granddaughter's first Christmas.

The time between Christmas and when school resumes will be filled with quilting.  Ahhhhhhh......

Happy Quilting,
Laurel
